Six Kids Books to Read this Month

Melissa Bastow

We enjoyed the first book so much that we're dying to read "The Seaquel: My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish" by Mo O'Hara. This book appeals to boys and not-so-girly girls, and also moms who get a kick out of funny disgusting fish.
I have not personally read this, yet.  But anything by Neil Gaiman has got to be good, right?  And there's a dinosaur in a hot air balloon on the cover, so you should buy it right now.  It's called "Fortunately the Milk"...whatever that means.
"The Duckling Gets a Cookie" by Mo Willems is a book we like to read over and over and over and over.  Because we love it.  LOVE.  IT.
Who doesn't love a good ninja book?  Really, who?  Because they should be taught a lesson...by a ninja.  That'll show them.  In the meantime read "Ninja" by Aree Chung.
Let's be honest, I just want to read this book because I think the cover looks pretty cool.  I mean, what is that thing?  I'm assuming it's one of "The Mischevians", but I guess I'll have to read the book by William Joyce to find out.
My kids love Bad Kitty, and in "Bad Kitty Drawn to Trouble" by Nick Bruel they get to learn HOW TO DRAW Bad Kitty.  So basically, that's awesome.
