Holiday Wreath Cupcakes

These simple cupcakes make excellent party snacks or treats for the neighbors.  They come together quickly and taste great, and kids can even help a little bit with the decorating.

This is what you'll need:

  • 6 Prepared Cupcakes, unfrosted
  • 1 Can Green Frosting
  • 1 Can Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 pkg. Fruit by the Foot
  • Red Hots Sprinkles

Frost each cupcake with the vanilla frosting.  Put the green frosting into a piping bag, and pipe little dots around the cupcake in the shape of a wreath.  Place 4-5 red hots around on the wreath to look like berries.

To make each bow: cut a 3-inch piece of fruit by the foot and split it down the middle so you have 2- 3 inch pieces. Take one of the pieces and fold each end to the center to look like a bow. Cut an inch off the other piece and fold over 3 times to a small thick square and stick on top the middle of your bow. Cut rest of that piece in half and cut an angle off one end of each. Place these two pieces on the bottom of your bow to look like the bow pieces hanging down.  Place the bows on the tops of each wreath.

Kids will love these cupcakes for class parties, or gatherings at home.  Or if you're one of those moms that really like to surprise her family with a fun treat - these cupcakes will do that too!
